- Foreign person A foreign person is a nonresident alien individual or foreign corporation that has not made an election under section 897 (i) of the Internal Revenue Code to be treated as a domestic corporation, foreign partnership, foreign trust, or foreign estate. It does not include a resident alien individual.

Dec 27, 2021 · Under subsection 2 (1) of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act of Canada (IRPA), “ foreign national means a person who is not a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident, and includes a stateless person.”.

A “U.S. Person” is defined as a: Lawful Permanent Resident. U.S. Citizen. Legal Immigrant with a “Green Card”. Protected Individual granted asylum or refugee status. “Foreign National” includes everyone else, including foreign governments or entities not incorporated to do business in the U.S. Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research.
