  1. Dec 21, 2008 · Could you tell me what the difference between "patent lie" and "blatant lie"? Here're definitions from Cambridge Dictionary. I think patent lie focuses on a lie is obvious; blantant lie focuses on a lie is not only obvious but also intentional.

May 4, 2008 · There is a very big different in between these words, patent is a type of material like you can get patent shoes that are sort of a plasticy material but also it means an invention that is protected by a grant which is enforced by the government. Blatent however means obvious and is definately the right word to go with in this sentence.
