These attributions are often influenced by socio-cultural and historical settings, reflecting the evolving nature of human relationships with places in human geography.

Jun 28, 2020 · We apply our framework to private landowners in the Southern Great Plains and explore the structure of sense of place based on the relationship between place meanings and place attachment. From this, we illustrate a fairly complex structure characterized by multiple configurations of place meanings that lead to varying levels of attachment.
