  2. This code has 7 digits. You need to request it from Service Canada. You will need your Alberta.ca Account or BC Services Card. The registration number is on your birth certificate, which is issued by your province or territory after you are born. It is an identification number (client ID) issued by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada.
