Assassin of Kings is an achievement in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt where one must help kill King Radovid V. It's easily missable as it depends on a number of factors and quests.
To even unlock the secondary quest this takes place in, Reason of State, one must do the following:
•After the main quest, Count Reuven's Treasure, Triss will ask for you to help her with something. Go talk to her in The Bits to start A Matter of Life and Death and complete it.
•Continue the main questline until you complete A Favor for Radovid, which will then allow the secondary quest Now or Never to start (a messenger nearby should give it. If not, talking to Triss again should start it). Finish the quest however you like.
•Complete the 3 assassins' quests (can be done in any order):
•While talking to Radovid V on his boat, he'll automatically give you the assassins' quest, Redania's Most Wanted.
•Sigismund Dijkstra will automatically give you the assassins' quest, A Deadly Plot, after finishing Now or Never.
