The Nether variant of wood. Similar to building with planks, but they are not flammable. Nether Wood has an unusual color palette of cyan and magenta, so it can be used to create fantasy-esque wooden structures. Inexpensive and renewable. Large variety of styles. Non-flammable. Decent blast resistance of 3; Requires bone meal to grow new fungi.

- Oak Wood. Biomes: Forests, Swamp, Savanna, Plains (and Meadows), Jungle variants, Wooded Badlands. The good old vanilla oak tree might seem boring to players who have been around for years, but there is a reason why this is the go-to tree for so many Minecraft players, veterans, and beginner builders alike.
- Spruce Wood. Biome: Taiga and its variants, Snowy Plains, Windswept Forest, Grove. Speaking of dark wood types and accents, spruce wood was the original decoration accent long before dark oak became a thing.
- Dark Oak Wood. Biome: Dark Oak Forest. The preference for dark, full colors has been clear in many of the more traditional Minecraft builds. Dark wood allows players to make accents and highlight details, and they bring in some variety without necessarily stealing the show too much.
- Birch Wood. Biome: Birch Forest, regular Forests, Meadows. Birch is one of the most common trees in Minecraft and is set apart by its distinctive white exterior, with a darker shade of green leaves.
- Oak. Oak trees are the most common tree in the game, making oak wood the most common. They have standard brown colour and are the best wood type to build basic and mega structures.
- Dark Oak. Dark Oak is an excellent option for players to build a house or hut with a darker hue. This type of wood can only be found in dark forest biomes, making them uncommon.
- Birch. This is a common type of wood found in birch forests or normal forest biomes. They have the lightest shade of brown amongst normal tree types, making them a good option for making lighter coloured builds.
- Warped. This is another special type of wood that can only be found in Warped forest biomes in the Nether. They, too, have identical properties like any other type of wood but have a dark teal shade.
Spruce wood is the most versatile, and its also craftable into spruce trapdoors which have one of the best textures for building. Not a fan of acacia's color, but the log and trapdoors are pretty good. I dislike the crimson wood the most.
