The school was founded in 1908 as the second high school to be constructed in the city, and is now the oldest remaining secondary school. [2] The first classes were held in the Admiral Seymour Elementary School building in September 1908. The school moved to the then partially completed Britannia building in 1910.
Britannia Secondary. Address: 1001 Cotton Drive. 1909-present. Opened 24 August, 1908 in the Seymour Elementary building as a part of Vancouver High School. It became a separate entity in 1909 and moved to a new structure in January 1910. Also known as East End High and Seymour High.
