The letter looks like it’s from a law firm and offers an “easy way” to get money using someone else’s life insurance policy. But it’s a scam.

  3. Some random law firm isn't going to send you a letter. Worst case scenario is some collection agency trying to get a lien or something. But again, you should know through actual legal means since you would need to be served. The law firm name might be real but that doesn't mean anything.
