Apr 29, 2024 · The main difference between the Elite and Empyrean 2 are, in my opinion, the staging. The Elite seems more expansive than Empyrean 2, though not by a lot. It offers a similar type of staging, with the sounds wrapping around your head, however it seems like there is more space around the listener and in between instruments and sound.

Meze explains that they have been listening to the community, and it was clear that they wanted a more neutral sounding Empyrean, but with retaining the easy listening experience. Nov 30, 2023 · The Empyrean II is just a completely different headphone. The LCD-X is typical of the Audeze house sound which has very relaxed mids/upper mids. This alone gives it a distinctly different sound than the EmpyII, which does the opposite and adds more power to this region.
