    Finding Nemo (2003)

A clown fish named Marlin lives in the Great Barrier Reef and loses his son, Nemo, after he ventures into the open sea, despite his father's constant warnings about many of the ocean's dangers. Nemo is abducted by a boat and netted up and sent to a dentist's office in Sydney. While Marlin ventures off to try to retrieve Nemo, Marlin meets a fish named Dory, a blue tang suffering from short-term memory loss. The companions travel a great distance, encountering various dangerous sea creatures, such as sharks, anglerfish, and jellyfish, in order to rescue Nemo from the dentist's office, which is situated by Sydney Harbour. While the two are searching the ocean far and wide, Nemo and the other sea animals in the dentist's fish tank plot a way to return to the sea to live their lives free again.

    Finding Dory (2016)

Dory, a regal blue tang, gets separated from her parents as a child. As she grows up, Dory attempts to search for them, but gradually forgets them due to her short-term memory loss. In the flashback of the previous film, Finding Nemo, she joins Marlin - a clown-fish looking for his missing son Nemo - after accidentally swimming into him. One year later, Dory is living with Marlin and Nemo on their reef. One day, Dory has a flashback and remembers that she has parents. She decides to look for them, but her memory problem is an obstacle. She eventually remembers that they lived at the Jewel of Morro Bay across the ocean in California, thanks to Nemo mentioning its name.

Director Andrew Stanton commented in June 2016 about the possibility of a third Finding Nemo film, stating: "I really do feel like that this was the missing piece, emotionally, for the first movie. Now, I’ve stopped saying never for anything because there are a lot of new characters that get introduced and we’ve broadened the universe for this movie. And again, I’m very used to seeing that world continue to open up from the Toy Story movies, so I’ve learned to just say, to my knowledge, I think everything that was born of the first movie is wrapped up. But we’ll see. With any of the other sequels, we strive to try and make it seem like it was inevitable, like it was meant to be, that all these extended stories and journeys with these characters were part of the whole canon. And that's really hard, but it's so satisfying for me when I’m experiencing that, whether it's a great second season of a TV show or another book in a series. It's a small club when it's done successfully. Regardless of how much people may vocalize that they don’t enjoy or wish that there weren’t extensions, sometimes it's really nice to go back and spend more time with these characters if they evolve, if they grow, if they expand. So that, I’m very happy with. I feel like it was just as hard, if not harder, on Finding Dory to get it to feel inevitable and preordained, and that it was always of the larger piece." v - e - d Media Films: Finding Nemo (video/soundtrack) • Finding Dory (video/soundtrack) • Exploring the Reef • Marine Life Interviews • Pixar Popcorn (Dory Finding) Video Games: Finding Nemo • Finding Nemo: The Continuing Adventures • Finding Nemo: Escape to the Big Blue • Disney Universe • Nemo's Reef • Crush's Coaster: The Game • Dory's Reef • Finding Dory: Just Keep Swimming • Disney Crossy Road • Kinect Rush: A Disney/Pixar Adventure • Disney Infinity: 3.0 Edition • LEGO The Incredibles • Disney Emoji Blitz • Disney Heroes: Battle Mode Music: Finding Nemo: Ocean Favorites Books: The Art of Finding Nemo • The Art of Disney Parks Disney's Art of Animation Resort • Disney's Explorers Lodge • Crush's Coaster • Disney Animation Building • Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage • It's a Small World • Nemo & Friends SeaRider • Pixar Pal-A-Round • The Seas with Nemo & Friends • Turtle Talk with Crush • Mr. Ray's Pop Quiz • Bruce's Shark Challenge • Finding Dory's Friends Entertainment: Disney KiteTails • Fantasmic! • Finding Nemo: The Musical • Pixar Playtime Pals • Rivers of Light: We Are One • TOGETHER: a Pixar Musical Adventure Parades: Disney Stars on Parade • Happiness is Here Parade • Mickey's Storybook Express • Paint The Night Parade • Pixar Play Parade • Tokyo Disneyland Electrical Parade: DreamLights Fireworks: Disneyland Forever • Happily Ever After • Ignite the Dream: A Nighttime Spectacular of Magic and Light • Momentous • Together Forever: A Pixar Nighttime Spectacular • Illuminate!
