The Special Services at Home (SSAH) program helps families taking care of a child with a developmental and/or physical disability. It provides funding to buy services and supports that help parents with caring for their child, or that support the child to join activities at home and in the community.
Services are child and family-centred and support the diverse needs of families in a way that is culturally safe, promotes equity, anti-racism, and anti-oppression. Services will be delivered according to the Special Services at Home Program Guidelines.
Special Services at Home. This is an Ontario Government initiative, funded by the Ministry of Children, Community, and Social Services, intended to provide support to families caring for a children with a developmental and/or physical disability. It is often referred to by the acronym SSAH. What is it for?
HOW CAN I USE MY SSAH FUNDING? You can use your SSAH funding for the following services: To pay for in-home or out-of-home respite; to pay for the services of a support worker to provide Respite and/or Personal Development. Camps and recreational and/or support services.

Special Services at Home is tailored for 0-17 year-olds with a developmental and/or physical disability who are Ontario residents. Focusing on personal growth and development, family relief and support, funding helps families pay for services in or in community.
Family Supports: Special Services at Home. Our Special Services at Home Program (SSAH) provides personalized support for children with developmental and/or physical disabilities, up until the age of 18.
