Metal Stairs are constructed on a 6” square centre metal-stringer with 24” wide metal plates to attach wood treads up to 48” wide.
Free Standing Stair – No interim supports between the floor and the ceiling. “J” STAIR – Stair that has a straight and a curved component. (Does not currently pass BC Building Code) Spiral Stair – Stair centered on a single post to which treads are attached. Helix Stair – Similar to a spiral stair, except there is no central post.
