In the Season Nine episode Pandora, Clark and Lois made love in the alternate future. Because Lois then went back to the past but Clark did not, Lois didn't consummate her relationship with the main timeline Clark until Harvest.
It is after all part of the lore that Lois and Clark always start to fall in love while working at the daily planet.
Clark and Lois first develop a friendship, and in the later seasons, a romantic relationship with Clark gradually falls in love with Lois and eventually reveals his alien origin to her.
