I really have to go on record and say I think seasons 1-7 are the best quality episodes of Family Guy in terms of laughs. Seasons 8-11 took a bit of a dip, but these last few seasons (12-15) have been steadily getting better. That being said, they updated to HD at the beginning of season 9.

One guaranteed return is Seth MacFarlane as Peter, Stewie, Brian, and Glenn Quagmire, and a season of Family Guy without its creator wouldn't be the same.
