Jackson Lake (otherwise known as the Jackson Reservoir) is located in northeastern Morgan County. The reservoir was built between 1901 and 1902 to store water to meet the needs of Colorado’s growing settler population.
The lake closes to motorized boating October 16th. Hand launch vessels launched from the shorelines are still permitted. Boating at Jackson Lake does not resume until all ice is off the reservoir in spring. Please contact the visitor center at 970-645-2551 for more information.
