Aug 27, 2022 · A Short History of Tving. The Tving Parish has its origins in the Middle Ages but the current church was inaugurated as late as 1843. Little is known about its predecessor, except that it was demolished between the years 1841 and 1843. The parish and the rest of Blekinge became a part of Sweden in 1658 with the Treaty of Roskilde.

Tving's church inaugurated on 17 september 1843. It is now one of Blekinge's largest, about 60 meters long and was built by the numer of parishioners. The walls are built of stone and whitewashed. The style is neoclassical, designed by C. Stahl.
