Further, Dr. Livy continues to petition for a fresh-frozen cadaver facility at the University of Alberta, which will provide new research opportunities.
Our Anatomy Division is our nation’s capital’s primary resource for expertise in anatomical sciences teaching, education scholarship, and clinical research. Expertise in human anatomy is essential for the delivery of safe and effective healthcare.
The research is focused on a broad range of topics including genome and telomere integrity, proper cell cycle progression, chromosome organization, epigenetic and transcriptional regulation, DNA replication, DNA repair and chromosome segregation.
We are primarily a teaching division with established expertise in human anatomy, including gross anatomy, neuroanatomy, clinical and surgical anatomy, developmental anatomy (embryology), and histology.
