Indeed - though, just because your car passed the test, doesn't mean its safe for the rest of the year. You still need to make sure it's roadworthy (minimum tread depth, lights working etc) since those things can of course change over the year and the police can fine & take the car of the road if its not fulfilling legal requirement even if you have a passed APK.
