Sep 4, 2024 · TORONTO — The Ontario government has officially broken ground on King-Bathurst, Queen-Spadina and Moss Park Stations, marking another milestone in the province’s plan to build the Ontario Line and create a reliable and continuous transit line that connects communities throughout the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).
The Ontario Line will run from the Ontario Science Centre through downtown Toronto to Exhibition Station and Ontario Place. The 15.6-kilometre line will run on a mix of tunnelled, above-ground and elevated tracks.
The Ontario Line is a 15.5 kilometre rapid transit line that will connect to other higher-order transit options including the Eglinton Crosstown LRT, Line 1, Line 2, and to the GO network, in addition to numerous TTC streetcar and bus routes.
