It is the sixth televised animated installment in the Dragon Ball media franchise, and the second and last to have been written by franchise creator Akira Toriyama, who died in March 2024. The series premiered on Fuji TV in October 2024.

(ドラゴンボールDaimaダイマ, Doragon Bōru Daima) is the fifth anime installment in the Dragon Ball franchise.
The series was announced during the Dragon Ball Special Panel at New York Comic Con 2023; it was revealed to be airing in fall 2024.
