In observance of the 5th Anniversary of the NMAAHC, on September 24th, we’re discussing one of the architects behind the design of our museum.As the nation’s largest cultural destination dedicated to exploring the African American story, every element of the museum’s architecture was designed to speak to its historic significance.
The National Museum of African American History and Culture was designed by Adjaye Associates, one of the world’s leading Black-owned architecture practices, in collaboration with The Freelon Group, Davis Brody Bond LLP and SmithGroupJJR.
