It's act 5, scene 1, of Twelfth Night, and now that Viola has revealed her true identity beneath the guise of Cesario, she aims to prove to Sebastian that she is indeed his long-lost sister.
Viola's twin brother, Sebastian, was not drowned after all. He survived the shipwreck and enters on stage talking with Antonio, a sea captain (not the same sea captain who managed to reach shore with Viola).
We learn that Sebastian, Viola’s twin brother, has survived the shipwreck but believes his sister is dead. He tells his rescuer, Antonio, that he plans to seek out the court of Duke Orsino.
Sebastian is confronted, first by Feste and then by Sir Andrew, Sir Toby and Fabian, who all mistake him for ‘Cesario’. Sir Andrew strikes him and Sebastian strikes back, thinking everyone is mad. He almost gets into a sword fight with Sir Toby but Olivia interrupts them.
Olivia dismisses Sir Toby, and asks Sebastian "would thou'dst be ruled by me," thinking that he is Cesario, due to his great resemblance to his sister. Sebastian decides to go along with it, struck by Olivia's beauty, thinking it all a pleasant dream from which he hopes he will not awaken.
