- Charlotte La Bouff. Tiana has known Charlotte since she was a little girl as her mother sewed dresses for Charlotte while working as a seamstress. Though Tiana and Charlotte came from different backgrounds, the two girls became best friends due to them sharing a love for fairytales and would play together where they sometimes dressed up as princesses while Tiana's mother would read them a story as she did her work.
