Wong is a fictional character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) film franchise, based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name and portrayed by Benedict Wong. In the franchise, Wong is depicted as Dr. Stephen Strange's friend and fellow sorcerer, being a member of the Masters of the Mystic Arts.
Wong is the current Sorcerer Supreme of the Masters of the Mystic Arts. When their former librarian was murdered by Kaecilius and the Zealots, Wong then became the highly protective keeper of all the ancient books when he met Stephen Strange, and assisted him in his studies.

Benedict Wong (born 3 July 1971) [1][2] is an English actor. He began his career on stage before starring in the film Dirty Pretty Things (2003), which earned him a British Independent Film Award nomination, and the BBC sitcom 15 Storeys High (2002–2004).
Dr. Alexander Wong is an infectious disease and addiction medicine physician and clinician-researcher with the Saskatchewan Health Authority. He is an Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of Saskatchewan.
When Wong reached adulthood, the Ancient One sent him to the United States to become a servant of his disciple, Doctor Stephen Strange. Wong was the first member of his family to come to America. Wong has now served Strange loyally and well for many years.
