Horst Otto Gregor Wendlandt (15 March 1922 – 30 August 2002) was a German film producer. [1] [2] He produced more than 100 films between 1956 and 2002. [3] In the 1960s Horst Wendlandt's production company Rialto Film produced films based on Edgar Wallace and Karl May, mostly directed by Alfred Vohrer or Harald Reinl.

Wendlandt hatte 1969 Gut Rothsee im Landkreis Weilheim-Schongau erworben und nutzte es als Zweitwohnsitz und für legendäre Feiern mit Schauspielern und Filmteams. Horst Gubanow has an older brother and sister -Otto and Gertraud Gubanow. Since his father is unable to earn a living for three children, Horst soon leaves Criewen to live with his uncle Fritz Wendlandt and his aunt Minna, the sister of his mother. The Wendlandt's have no children of their own. Together they move to Berlin. 1937
Horst Otto Grigori Gubanov was born on 15 March 1922 in Criewen near Schwedt an der Oder. His father Gregor Gubanov was a Russian agricultural worker, his mother Auguste, née Klempnow, was German. He grew up with Fritz and Minna Wendlandt, a sister of his mother's, who adopted him in 1944 and whose name he took.
