    • Comcast. Comcast is a sprawling media and telecommunications business. It owns the largest pay-TV and home internet service provider in the U.S. (Xfinity) and the largest pay-TV provider in Europe (Sky).
    • Walt Disney. Walt Disney is home to some of the best-known characters and brands around the world. It owns Pixar, Marvel, and Lucasfilm, among other film studios.
    • AT&T. AT&T is in the midst of unwinding its massive acquisitions from the last decade: DirecTV and Time Warner (now WarnerMedia). For now, it still holds on to WarnerMedia, which controls several cable networks, including HBO, and film studios, including DC Comics and New Line Cinemas.
    • Paramount Global. Paramount Global, formerly ViacomCBS, is the result of the re-merging of Viacom and CBS, and it’s purely a media company. The company owns the CBS broadcast network and studios, Showtime, and several U.S. and international cable networks.
    • Comcast. You might be thinking, “Wait a minute—Comcast owns NBC? I don’t remember that.” That’s because it was only announced in January of last year. Comcast has a 22% stake in National Amusements (NAI), which is the parent company of Viacom and CBS.
    • Disney. Disney has a lot of power. It owns the ABC television network and its affiliates, as well as ESPN and other cable channels. It also operates Walt Disney Pictures and Pixar Animation Studios, which produce films under their respective banners.
    • News Corp. News Corp is a global media company with businesses in digital education, news and information services, book publishing, newspapers and information services.
    • Time Warner. Time Warner is a media conglomerate. They own HBO and CNN, as well as Warner Bros., which owns DC Comics and many other properties. Time Warner also has lots of cable TV channels like Cartoon Network and TNT; magazines like Time; newspapers including the New York Post; websites such as TMZ.com; games (the company was once part of Atari); and lots more.
    • Comcast Corporation. Comcast Corporation is a global media and technology company that owns companies from various sectors. They include cable television, film production, broadband internet, and a lot more.
    • The Walt Disney Company. It doesn’t really need further explaining why The Walt Disney Company is part of this media ownership chart. Millions of children since 1923 – when the company started- have consumed media that Walt Disney produced.
    • AT&T Inc. is one of the conglomerates that own media companies in the United States and abroad. Initially, AT&T is one of the biggest providers of telephone services.
    • ViacomCBS Inc. is one of the companies that own the media’s majority of content. This company is a media conglomerate in its own right, which was formed when Viacom merged with the CBS Corporation in 2019.
