Lewisville is the only town in Texas to have had two former residents become Speaker of the House of Representatives at Austin. They are C. G. Thomas, deceased, and Fred Minor, Denton Attorney. Today, the "Gateway to the Industrial Southwest", as Lewisville is known, is developing rapidly.
