  4. May 1, 2023 · It is with great sadness that we report the passing of Professor Emeritus Michael Lebowitz on April 19, 2023. Lebowitz was a member of the Department of Economics for 35 years. He enjoyed a long and interesting career at SFU where he lectured on Marxist economics, comparative economic systems and economics of history up until his retirement in 2000.
