One trend worth noting in our current worship lyrics is the tendency to only write and sing about the attributes of God that are directly helpful to us – and perhaps neglect other aspects of his worth because they do not appear to be directly beneficial to our own lives. We worship Him because we are compelled to worship Him, once we realize what He has done for us. We worship Him because the presence of His Spirit draws us into fellowship with Him and when we are with Him, we worship Him.
