Hayama and Hachiman are on pretty good terms for the next few days. Hayama even tells him he's happy to see Yukino move on and that Hachiman, choosing to look over her, was the correct decision. Next important interaction between Hachiman and Hayama takes place during the height prom when Hachiman asks Hayama to aid his fake-prom idea.
Later, when watching Hayama does her class rep work, Yoko asks her why would she do it (she has no interest in it at all), in which she replies that it will look good on her resume. Serina is frustrated because Hayama stands in her way each time, and points out that she is chosen as class rep just because she looks like one.
It was his idea for the date and he probably knew the shallowness of the 2 girls they were going with. First of all, the LN makes it clear that the date was Orimoto's idea to begin with. Haruno backs her up by agreeing with her, and later, forcing Hayama to also go. At this point, Hayama did not want to go to the date at all.
But when Hayama narrowed his eyes and wore a smile on his face, he said something surprising. “It’s not like she asked me. The one who she asked was you.”. “She’s just using me as much as she can.”. “If you’re asked, you don’t really refuse after all.”. A tone that gently reverberated as if it sounded somehow impressed.

Three Leaves, Three Colors (三者三葉, Sansha Sanyou) is the anime adaptation of Arai Cherry's manga of the same name. It was produced by Doga Kobo and aired for 12 episodes between April and June 2016.
Having gone from pampered to poor after the bankruptcy of her father's company, Youko Nishikawa struggles to drop her princess-like persona and make friends at her all-girls high school. One day, while eating alone in a nearby forest, she has a chance encounter with Futaba Odagiri, the super-energetic transfer student, and Teru Hayama, an innocent-looking girl with a surprisingly direct and sometimes mean personality. Despite their differing personalities, the three girls who all have the kanji for "leaf" in their name begin an unlikely friendship as they try to navigate through an amusing and spontaneous adventure known as high school life.
Sansha Sanyou is a cheerful, cute series revolving around three close but very different friends as they try to balance the everyday challenges that school and adolescence have to offer.
