Find out what to do if you still receive a Not Delivered alert after you try to send your message as a text message. You can set up Messages so that it tries to send messages as an SMS automatically when iMessage isn’t available. Go to Settings > Apps > Messages, and turn on Send as Text Message.

Aug 11, 2023 · If your outgoing messages on iPhone appear as green bubbles, it means iMessage isn't working and they've been sent over SMS instead of iMessage. You can try toggling iMessage off and on again in your settings, or log out of your Apple ID and log back in.
