Nov 11, 2023 · Answer: Its a combination of the two things that have already been suggested as answers. 1) There are always states that people joke about. I’m from Ohio and we always used to talk trash about Michigan and Kentucky where I was from. It’s just a regional thing.

People just started making ironic memes that absurd, paranormal or otherworldly events occur there, because why not. Trying to make sense of certain things that come out of TikTok is just a waste of time.

My favorite memes are the astronaut ones. here. and here. edit: I have to say though, growing up there in the 60s, it was a great place to be a kid. As we usually say, Ohio is a perfect place to be from.

Nov 24, 2022 · The “war” was resolved when Ohio gained control of Toledo and a strip of land that stretches from the border of Indiana in the west to Lake Erie in the east, and in exchange Michigan was granted the Upper Peninsula, a peninsula bordering Wisconsin. The joke in Ohio is that Michigan won the war, so Ohio got Toledo.

As a kid visiting relatives, part of our drive to Indiana was driving through Ohio from the West Virginia border, it felt like eternity to drive through Ohio. I loath driving through Ohio and can see why people pick on it lol. 3.
