If that doesn't work, then go to your nearest discount store and pick up an old-fashioned rabbit ears antenna (usually around $10-$15). Rabbit ears have the long elements that pick up VHF stations. You may have to experiment with where you place them and which direction they're oriented. Good luck!
I think that they have given up, since they are using that channel/equipment for ATSC 3.0 testing. The thing is - a lot of people don't have (or can't install, in my case) a "proper" VHF antenna, and here, the lower power levels of the two VHF major affiliates make the signals not really usable for inexpensive rabbit ears in much of the area.
