Modernization of Tuapse refinery suggests in-process construction of the advanced oil refinery. Upon its completion, the refinery throughput will increase from 4.5 to 12 mln tons per annum, refining depth will reach 98.5%, Nelson Complexity Index will reach 9 and exceed the average comparable figures of refineries in Western Europe.
The program of modernization of the Tuapse Refinery is being implemented in three phases: 1 st construction phase — within the processing unit (section) ELOU-AVT-12 (with the capacity of 12 million tons/year for oil) and off-site facilities;
The modernization of Tuapse refinery will enable the Company to meet the growing needs in high quality motor fuels of Southern Russia. Moreover, taking into account the Company’s specific geographical location and transshipment capacity in Tuapse, it will increase the possibilities of crude oil export alternatives.
After completion of the Modernization Program, the depth of oil refining will increase to 98.5%. Modernization of the Tuapsinsky Refinery will ensure the growing demand for high-quality motor fuels in the South of Russia.
