Jul 27, 2015 · I'm considering the $22 annual membership with OMA but it's kind of annoying that they are not transparent about the membership discounts and benefits that I will receive. One of the factors I'm interested in is the cell phone plan discounts.
It’s worth it to sign up if only for the sake of the disability insurance. I would strongly encourage everyone to sign up and get the complimentary disability insurance (up to 100k) at the very least before starting residency, as you don’t have to have anything like a health exam or documentation.
If you are a medical student, you are able to join OMA for only $10/year (Jan-Dec). This registration fee allows you to receive all the benefits of the membership. Benefits of membership include access to many advantages, including travel & leisure discounts, auto discounts, and other member perks!
