    • I’ve chosen your place for two main reasons. First one is the study program. I went through the curriculum for all four years, checked every subject, and I find your curriculum superior to other competing universities in the country.
    • I wanted to study with the best. You top the national rankings of universities, many top-class professors teach at your place, and I know that a degree from your university means something in the job interviews, and will open me doors to interesting places once I earn it.
    • Honestly speaking, I applied with you because I know I have a realistic chance to get in. I haven’t been the best student at high school, and it would be a waste of time sending my application to certain universities, which would not even bother reading it once they see my GPA.
    • I have several reasons for my choice. First of all, I did not get in the last year, but I had a really good impression from the interviews, and enjoyed my time with the teachers and students of the school.

    • The pride. Before stepping foot on Preston terrain, I had never encountered such local pride which is shown here. The usual football chants can be heard from Deepdale stadium supporting the whites, but beyond that Prestonians ooze pride in their city and it is admirable for an ‘outsider’ like me.
    • The parks. The hidden treasures! Preston is littered with gorgeous spots of greenery that students are often late to discover (myself included). Avenham park with its Japanese gardens and, while strictly not a park, Preston docks provide a stunning backdrop to the city that should be enjoyed from the off!
    • The traditions. Advertisements. Like a lot of cities, Preston is full of unique pastimes that only it knows. Whether it’s Freddie flintoff trying to beat the record of most parched peas eaten in a minute, or the funeral procession that takes place through Bamber Bridge every time Preston North End get relegated or promoted, Preston has the personality of no other.
    • The pubs. Freshers 2015 is set to be the best yet and always a great way to immerse yourself in the new city you find yourself in. But, amidst the cheap drinks and busy crowds, be sure not to neglect the quirky favourites dotted around the city.
