- UC San Francisco. Ranked first in America in 2023 program director rankings, UC San Francisco vies for the title of most prestigious medical school in the country.
- UCLA. UCLA ranks 4th in 2023 program director rankings, and 13th in the U.S. News primary care rankings. Like UC San Francisco, UCLA has rotations at safety-net hospitals as well as the VA.
- UC San Diego. UC San Diego ranks 23rd nationally in the 2023 program director rankings, and 32nd in U.S. News primary care rankings. While it’s a tier below UCSF and UCLA, UC San Diego is still a nationally recognized school.
- UC Davis. Located in Sacramento, UC Davis ranks 37th in program director rankings, along with an impressive 8th-place ranking in primary care in the latest U.S. News report.
- UC Los Angeles. Acceptance rate: 11% In-State tuition: $14,478. Out-of-State tuition: $47,052. Starting the list out strong, UC Los Angeles takes the #1 spot in the University of California rankings.
- UC Berkeley. Acceptance rate: 15% In-State tuition: $15,444. Out-of-State tuition: $48,018. #2 on our list of UC rankings is UC Berkeley. Established in 1868, UC Berkeley is the oldest college in the UC system and has over 32,000 undergraduate students that attend its 1,232 acre campus in Berkeley, California—located north of Oakland and 15 miles across the bay from San Francisco.
