Aug 1, 2008 · I think the general rule is that if you are talking about the way they control the motorbike, you say 'drive'. If you are talking about traveling on a motorbike, you say 'ride'. You say 'ride' even when the person is also controlling the motorbike, unless you are making a point about the way they control it.
