May 10, 2016 · The problem never goes away, as I described in my original post, HDD activity for my large internal storage drive is near 100% all the time, with high CPU & memory usage, all with the ESET service listed as the #1 consumer. Protection statistics resets every time I reboot, but is currently upwards of 20,000,000 objects.

When I click on Advanced Settings, it shows the window with the GUI inside of the window, but the content section is blank. My assumption is that it is trying to contact a server to retrieve settings.

Apr 25, 2023 · Assuming that I am going to reinstall my operating system on the same device, the safe way would be: Uninstall ESET, go to ESET HOME for example and there remove the device linked to the license and after installing the operating system, download ESET and then installation login to ESET HOME where the license will be automatically recognized?
Dec 21, 2018 · The CPU usage has been below 0,02% for ekrn.exe and 1,4% for mbam.exe if no on-demand scan was running. If the issue has started to manifest just recently, it might have been cause by an update of ESET, ESET's module, MBAM, MBAM's module or operating system itself. Moreover, other applications might have influenced it as well.
