  1. Witchcraft is a horror film series, that as of March 2018, has 16 direct to video installments, making it one of the horror genre's longest-running interconnected series. [1][2] It began in 1988, and most films focus, at least partially, on the character of William Spanner, who is a powerful warlock who fights for good despite having an evil ...

As a pagan witch, one of the things that drew me to the craft as a child was fantasy novels and movies like Chronicles of Narnia, The Lord of the Rings, The Pagemaster and others. When I recommend a movie or TV series for pagans and witches, it’s because it either features witches or pagans OR has elements of magic, the supernatural or spirituality...

Every witch loves a good magical journey into the otherworld, am I right? If you don’t mind reading subtitles OR if you speak fluent Spanish, Pan’s Labyrinth is worth the watch. Pan’s Labyrinth is a fantasy featuring a little girl who finds herself lost between this world and another in light of unimaginable terrors in the real world, she meets fai...

If you’re into a good horror movie, The Conjuring won’t disappoint. Based on a true haunting in Rhode Island, the film follows the demonologists known as the Warrens into a terrifying journey. The Warrens are called on to help a family dealing with a sinister haunting in their home…involving the ghost of a long-dead witch who once lived in their ho...

What is always so darn creepy about corn mazes and tall grass? Apparently it’s a common fear because this movie tapped into my nightmares. Another great horror flick for witches, In the Tall Grass keeps our hearts pounding and keeps us guessing. Will they make it out alive? What is hiding in the grass? Patrick Wilson from The Conjuring stars in thi...

What I like to consider one of the best fantasy witch movies on Netflix is the movie based on Neil Gaiman’s novel Stardust. If you love fantasy, you’ll adore this film full of magic: witches, fallen stars, knights, and fairy worlds. Once you get lost in the land of Stardust, you won’t want to come back. And never mind the talented Michelle Pfeiffer...

So we won’t say this movie is for every witch, but if you’re into horror and don’t mind the darker side of the witchcraft/pagan spectrum – check out The Ritual on Netflix. Separate yourself from the mindset of “every movie should show pagans in a positive light”, because, let’s face it – pagans are often used as the butt of a horror movie’s plot tw...

Everyone was raving about this Netflix movie not too long ago. If you haven’t watched Bird Box, and you’re a witch who has Netflix, watch it now! There are some supernatural elements in Bird Box we never quite identify fully, which only makes the movie more intriguing. And who’s not a fan of Sandra Bullock as a heroine of a thriller? Every witch sh...

When Rose Red premiered on television years ago, I was hooked. I wanted to know all about the real Winchester mystery house. Why is this place so haunted? Why did Sarah Winchester keep building onto her mansion and why so many strange rooms and features? If you enjoy a good ghost story, based on true events, Winchester is your movie. While it doesn...

The Seventh Son is a new movie on Netflix that actually came out in 2014. Starring Ben Barnes and Julianne Moore (I love her), this film DOES involve witches, a blood moon, evil spirits and much more. The main character, Tom, meets with many dangers including shapeshifters, boggarts and battles his own conscience. Definitely a fantasy-thriller mean...

This is another one of those witch movies where the witch is made out to be evil. I know it’s one of those common (sometimes annoying) themes, but if you have nothing else to watch and it must star a witch…check it out. Plus I enjoy when people think they’re going to f*ck with a witch and get what they deserve. Mwuahaha.
