3 days ago · Tube life , wear and tear on amps etc. I would be willing to bet the amps have soft start circuitry that limits inrush current to the amp’s power supply. The soft start circuity slightly lowers, reduces, the voltage applied to the power transformer and the secondary windings of the transformer during turn on of the amp.
May 12, 2024 · FLAC is 60% the size of the original file. Although, in most cases, you may not be able to hear the difference…with a high resolution system and good ears, the difference is there. My argument is twofold: 1) file size is not an issue these days so why compress. 2) once you convert to FLAC, there is no going back.

No reason to sell raw wires for those prices. Wire burners are also very expensive I hear and you only burn in once.

The specs for the cartridge are: Stylus: 0.3 x 2mil line-contact solid diamond stylus. Output voltage: 0.16mV. Coil impedance: 8 ohms.
May 1, 2024 · With those speakers I don;t recommend it. I would definitely look at Cardas. I used Golden Reference… although with the ARC that might not be required. If I was you I would try Cardas Clear Reflections, they should do exactly what you are requesting. While the rule of thumb was speaker cost be around 30% of your total system.
