Feb 16, 2017 · I was hoping to get some thoughts from the 2 channel fans out there that still watch movies with their current setup. I'm strongly considering moving to straight 2 channel for music focus with the ability for stereo movies. Also just to simplify the setup. My concern is the lack of a center channel for dialogue.

Im going to be watching a fair amount of tv and the occasional movie in the room where I'll have my 2-channel music system, so I want to be able to run the highest quality signal I can through the dac/preamp.

This will be in its own room, 12x15, I listen at moderate to loud volume levels. I'll be using mostly streamed content from Amazon HD and cd's.
Feb 12, 2006 · In between I want to add an amp, center channel, and rears to my system. I am curious: Can I add a center channel to the 2 fronts without having rears and it sound good? I know that the center channel puts out most of the sound in a home theater system so would this help me at all?
Dec 3, 2021 · #1 · Dec 3, 2021 (Edited) Greetings everyone! I'm looking to add a subwoofer to my 2 Channel setup. I've been looking at the SVS PB-1000 Pro, SVS Micro 3000 and Rythmik FXV12 (a tad over budget but hear rave things about it), but the more options the better!
Jun 12, 2022 · The only way to know for sure is to conduct a test with one or more stereo preamplifiers. There are many folks here on AVS who have obtained a stereo preamp that is equipped with a home-theater bypass and are now enjoying improved sonics when playing two-channel music.
